Augmented RealityAugmented reality forms a central component of Shatha Al Hsani’s multidisciplinary artistic practice, serving as a medium that extends the boundaries of the painted surface and redefines the relationship between artwork and viewer.
Her practice investigates the intersection of visual art and digital technologies through the integration of 3D modelling, digital sculpting, animation, and augmented reality, treating these media as integral elements of the conceptual structure of each work rather than as tools of presentation or visual spectacle.
Each project develops from the idea itself, with digital media introduced only where it expands the visual and narrative potential of the work. Within this approach, augmented reality becomes a continuation of the artistic language, creating new modes of perception and engagement beyond the physical limits of the canvas.
This section presents selected projects that document the evolution of this practice, exploring augmented reality as an extension of painting and as a bridge between material form, digital space, and human perception.
